Diwali (parte 2)

Bienvenidos de nuevo. Me estoy tomando otro descanso bastante largo de estudiar para mis exámenes.

Welcome again. Yep, I'm taking another break from my studying, a long long break. 

Así que, Diwali.

So, Diwali.

El día antes de Diwali, pre Diwali, little Diwali o algo así, me matarán por no acordarme, pero es que estoy saturada de cultura India. Fuimos a varios lugares ese día. Primero, a darles de comer a los peces en un laguito donde había un templo. Lamentablemente, casi no había peces en el lago y los pocos que habían no querían nuestra comida. 

The day before Diwali, pre Diwali, little Diwali or something like that ― you are going to kill me for not remember but I have so many facts about Indian culture in my brain that I am going to mess up something. We want to many places that day. First of all, to feed the fishes in a small pond ― actually, not that small. Pitifully, there was almost not fish and the ones that were there didn't want our food.

Después fuimos a un parque de diversiones muy modesto que se llamaba Bombay... algo. No me acuerdo. No está en Bombay (Mumbai), por si no era ya obvio. Había un camello que venía directo de Rajastán ―estaba pequeñito para ser un camello de Rajastán―. Anduvimos por allí, comimos comida del sur de la India, que no recuerdo el nombre de nada, excepto de las dosas, que si ven en algún lugar, deberían probar.

After that we went to an amusement park ― very modest ― that was called Bombay... something. I don't remember. It's not in Bombay (Mumbai), obviously. Thet was a camel that had come directly from Rajastán ― it was a little camel. We were there for  while, roam around, eat some south indian food and I, of course, don't remember the name of anything, except the dosas that you need to try,

Después fuimos a Amb, un pequeño pueblito en el distrito de Una, a hacer las compras para el Diwali. Amb es un pueblo sin turismo, sin nada que ver, es sólo un pueblo más y creo que allí reside su encanto. No sé si les he contado, pero para mí todos los pueblos se parecen. No porque se parezcan a simple vista, sino porque el ambiente es el mismo, tan diferente a las grandes ciudades como en la que vivo. Bueno, compramos algunas cosas, especialmente cohetes y luego, de regreso a casa. El día siguiente era Diwali. 

We went to Amb lather, a little tiny town in Una District to make all the shopping for Diwali. Amb is a town with no turism at all, nothing actually for "common" tourists to see, just a town, but I think in that is where its charm resides. I don't know if I have told you but for me, all the villages look alike. Not in plain sight, of course, just because the environment is the same, so different to the big metropolis. Well. we bought some stuff, specually firecrackers and then, back home. Next day was Diwali.

En casa, comimos una increíble cena, como todas las que la mamá de Disha preparó para nosotros (esa mujer es increíble) y luego nos hizo mehandi en las manos. ¿Qué es eso? Bueno, vean las imágenes.

At home, we had an awesome dinner, like all dinners Disha's mom cooked for us (Disha, your mom is the best) and then she made mehandi's for us. What's that? Well, see the pictures.

Y así, estabamos listos para Diwali. Me perdonarán que no siga, pero es que no quiero hacer esto eterno y que se tarde en cargar por la cantidad de fotografías, en realidad la entrada no es nada larga de leer.

And just like that, we were ready for Diwali. You're going to forgive me but I don't want to make the post eternal and difficult to load because all the pictures, so, it ends here for today.
